The beginning of the unknown

May is almost over and summer is in full swing.

Last summer consisted of working 40 hours a week, living at home and saving all the money I could. (not too exciting)
This summer is going to be an adventure and I am just getting my feet wet. My spring 2010 classes pushed me to my limits academically. I had a full course load that included reporting, (which almost killed me by the end) but I was able to push through and pass the class with flying colors, I think. Since I almost have 90 credit hours I've decided to pursue a double major with Sport Management. I want to put off graduating as long as possible, my plan right now is to graduate in 2012 with a degree in Journalism and Sport Management then get my masters in business.

But enough about school stuff. This summer I was lucky enough to get an internship with the High Springs Herald working as a photographer. The herald is a weekly paper that comes out every Thursday, and covers the cities about 15 minutes north of Gainesville. I started last week covering my first two assignments, which were a relay for life event and a rodeo.
I want to start documenting my assignments and blogging about my experiences I encounter while out on the job.

Always,
Paige
